Power Keys Service
Power Keys Service turns your Polycom phone or sidecar into a powerful call handling and work group monitoring tool. With Power Keys Service, you can take full advantage of the spare line keys on your Polycom phones and additional line keys added via sidecars. Choose your plan based on the number of unused power keys you have available on your device(s).

Note: Polycom VVX 1500 phones and conference phones cannot run Power Keys.**The Polycom VVX Sidecar 28 Key – Color has three virtual pages of 28 line keys for a total of 84 line keys per sidecar. With each purchase of PWR28 you can assign up to 10 LAK, and/or up to 28 BLF power. Any remaining keys of the 84 available line keys can be assigned as speed dial keys.
BLF Functions:
- BLF Presence—Monitor the real-time call status (or presence) of other extensions. See who is on the phone and who is available.
- BLF Speed Dial—Automatically dial to an idle extension that you are monitoring.
- BLF Speed Transfer—Instantly transfer a live call to an idle extension you are monitoring.
- BLF Call Pickup—Pick up a ringing call on an extension you are monitoring.
- BLF Call Park—Easily park and retrieve calls at the push of a button (also known as Call Park Extensions).
- BLF keys can monitor any 8x8 extensions, including all 8x8 supported phone types – any vendor, any model.
Line Appearance Power Keys—Assign line appearance keys (LAKs) to manage multiple live calls at the same time instead of the standard two live calls on the default 2 LAKs.
Simple Setup
- BLF and Line Appearance Power Keys are configured in your online Account Manager portal.
- Users can easily assign and mix and match BLFs and Line Appearance Keys. You can fill any unused line keys on your phone, or sidecar, as speed dial keys.
- Power Keys works with Polycom phones with four or more line keys and with sidecars.
- Polycom phones purchased in 2012 or earlier may need to be upgraded with new firmware by 8x8 Support before Power Keys can be used. This can be done remotely and only takes a few minutes.
