There’s something electric about the moments when things click. When a customer finally gets the clarity they’ve been chasing. When a team unlocks the confidence to lead through the chaos. When tools finally just… work together.

Those moments don’t happen by accident. And they certainly don’t happen often enough.

And the truth is, the stakes have never been higher. The software and communications space has become one of the most crowded, commoditized markets out there. Budgets are tight. Customer expectations are sky-high. And while everyone is racing to claim an “AI-first” future, something has been lost: the human element.

Putting People Back at the Center

Too many companies are putting technology in the hero spot. They lead with features. They lead with hype. They lead with promises of AI solving everything. And in the process, they’ve stopped seeing the real people who actually make businesses work—the IT leaders, the CX professionals, and the contact center managers who are out there grinding every single day.

We chose to do the opposite. We believe this is the moment to put people back at the center. To show that technology is the guide, not the hero. To make customers—not platforms—the star of the story. Because when we shift the focus back to human ingenuity, when we show customers what’s possible with clarity and confidence, that’s when real transformation happens.

That’s what led us to create The Power of You™. It’s not just another brand campaign. It’s a rallying cry. A reminder that while we build the platform, they, our customers, are the ones transforming their organizations. It’s about putting customers at the center of the story and showing the world what happens when they’re empowered with the right tools and support.

The Unsung Heroes of Modern Business

And for me, it’s more than a campaign—it’s a reminder of why I get up every morning to do this work.

Because this isn’t about 8x8. It’s about the people who are out there making things happen—the IT leaders balancing a hundred priorities, the CX professionals turning complexity into connection, the contact center managers keeping teams aligned when it feels impossible.

These people are the real heroes of modern business. And too often, they’re invisible.

I know this because I’ve lived it. I’ve watched teams grind through impossible deadlines, duct-tape systems together just to keep the lights on, and celebrate the smallest wins as if they were championships. That resilience inspires me. It’s why I believe so strongly that our job isn’t just to sell technology, but to help leaders find confidence, clarity, and control.

What Happens When Customers Are Truly Empowered

And we see this power in action every day. Take LSH Auto, one of the UK’s largest automotive dealer groups. Their team was struggling with disconnected tools and rising customer expectations—challenges many of us can relate to. By bringing their systems together and simplifying how they worked, they not only improved service but gave their employees the space to focus on what really matters: their customers.

Moments like that are exactly what The Power of You™ is about—helping leaders turn everyday obstacles into opportunities to lead with confidence.

Breaking Through the Noise Without Losing Our Soul

But there’s another layer to this campaign I’m proud of: how we chose to build it.

We’re living in one of the most crowded and commoditized spaces in software. Everyone is fixated on AI—future features, future lists, future wars. And yes, AI matters. But the way we cut through the noise isn’t by shouting louder about technology. It’s by differentiating beyond the product—with energy, creativity, and storytelling that actually resonates.

That’s where AI comes in for us. It’s not the headline; it’s the helper. We use it to inject what I call creative abundance—to imagine customers as the heroes of their own stories and bring those stories to life in bigger, bolder ways than we could before.

And here’s the part I’m especially proud of: this is the first time in our industry that customers have been placed at the center of an AI-generated ad. Others have tried AI-driven creative at scale, but not like this—not by leading with the customer in such a direct and human way. It’s new, it’s exciting, and it’s something we’ll only continue to build on from here.

Because for us, we’re still customer-first, AI-second. That’s the differentiator.

This launch is personal for me because it represents the kind of company—and community—I want to be part of. One that’s willing to put customers at the center of the story, not just the slide deck. One that values outcomes over optics. One that can help leaders not just survive but truly lead.

Who’s the Hero in Your Story?

This is just the beginning. You’ll see The Power of You™ show up in a lot of places over the coming weeks, but more importantly, I hope you feel it. Because when we put customers at the center, everyone wins.

We’re deeply thankful to the customers who inspire and teach us every day—they are the reason we do this work.

So here’s my ask: look around. Who’s the hero in your story right now? Who’s holding it all together, often without credit? Tag them. Celebrate them. Remind them they’re seen.

Because when you do, you unlock The Power of You™.
