Across EMEA, as we look to enhance and develop being customer-obsessed with our product suite, including contact centre, and hiring the best talent in the area, I’m delighted to announce four regional leaders across the EMEA territory.

The four people chosen will answer directly to me and, in my opinion, represent some of the best people in the company and are perfect to showcase what life is like at 8x8. VP Nerea Gandarias will be the UK Lead, while Alex Peligrad will lead in Romania, and Cristina Coelho will lead in Portugal. Vincent Bertaud will continue in his role as French lead.

As we continue to grow and succeed across EMEA, it makes sense to appoint these regional leads. They will build and guide local leadership teams and HR business partners to drive engagement across their location and to elevate each area as an employer of choice in the country/region.

Honour

“To be asked to represent one of 8x8’s larger EMEA territories is a great honour,” says Nerea Gandarias, VP Marketing. “I’m keen to have 8x8 seen as a great place to work as well as a great company to work with. “Our Romanian office already has a great reputation for having a high rate of diversity amongst the teams, and I’ll be looking to build on that while continuing to attract new talent ” notes Alex Peligrad. “Beyond that, it’s going to be fantastic representing the company in the community, showing businesses and others why so many companies across the globe choose 8x8 for the contact centre and unified communication needs.”

Increased presence

In France, Vincent Bertaud with his background in working for Microsoft, Poly, and Odigo is looking forward to continuing to develop 8x8’s presence. He says, “The channel is in a really exciting place in France at the moment. The level of technological change and forms of engagement being engaged are changing at a frantic rate. That’s why I’m delighted to work with my team and enhance 8x8’s offering and presence in France. Building local relationships in countries across Europe is the best way to do channel engagement and my team and I are more than up to seizing that opportunity.”

Recruitment

“One of the great things about working at 8x8 is that you can be making suggestions to improve the code one day and see it rolled out live, impacting millions of business interactions the next day. That’s a great thing to tell people when recruiting to join us,” said Cristina Coelho. “We’re currently recruiting across a number of positions so I’m hitting the ground running to get more people in the door.”
