In 2021, 8x8 published its inaugural State of Business Communications Report. The asset was based on primary research asking more than 300 IT and contact center leaders had their organization had fared with the widespread move to remote work and cloud communications triggered by the pandemic.

At the time, business resilience focused on changing employee and customer experiences were top of mind for organizations. In the 2021 survey, 100% of the respondents noted that within two years, their organization planned to deploy an integrated Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) and Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) solution. Eighty-four percent (84%) said in 2021 that their organization “is forward-looking and that a combined solution is the future of business communications.”
