Emily Masterton, 8x8’s channel leader for EMEA, has been announced as a CRN Regional Channel Chief for 2024.

The recently-released list of regional channel chiefs praised Emily Masterton for her involvement in 8x8’s Partner Innovation Roadshows across the UK, as well as her contributions to the company’s new Technology Partner Ecosystem and her success in bringing Contact Center solutions to Unified Communications customers. Emily was praised as a true leader and an inspiration to others.

A distinguished career

Masterton’s career started at Oak Telecom nearly 17 years ago and then saw her rise at Unify, Atos and, finally, 8x8. Today, Masterton has become a go-to resource for 8x8 channel leadership, with a distinct reputation as someone who delivers results.

Being easy to do business with

“It’s great to be recognised this way and I thank the team at CRN,” said Masterton. “My philosophy is that it's about being easy to do business with and building true partnerships based on trust and support. We should have a platform and suite of products that meet the needs of the channel and end-customers. We should be there for end-to-end enablement if a partner wants it. Our support and free training should be second to none. And lastly, there should be channel programmes and initiatives for all types of partners to be as involved, supported and trained as they wish. We should be there for them all.”

Recognition for channel efforts

“This recognition is great for Emily, and the wider EMEA team, as it confirms something that I already knew: Emily is incredibly dedicated and hard working, not only for 8x8 but also for our partners,” said Michelle Paitich, 8x8’s Global Channel Chief. “You see it in every interaction that she has with people. She knows what makes the channel (and the people in the channel) tick.”

Genuine care

“My philosophy is that it's about being easy to do business with and building true partnerships based on trust and support.”- Emily Masterton, 8x8 EMEA Channel Leader

Al Stephens, Founder of Darwin Technologies, added: “Emily genuinely cares about what you’re trying to accomplish, taking time to understand you instead of hounding you over a target or opportunity. She goes out of her way to make sure you understand exactly what you’ll get, when you’ll get it, and what else needs done. True professionalism always.”

Masterton is one of only five women on the final list of almost 40 leaders across EMEA and APAC. On behalf of everyone at 8x8, congratulations to Emily for this achievement and we look forward to seeing what she achieves in the coming year.
