8x8 Closes Acquisition of Contactual, Inc.
8x8 has been successfully reselling cloud-based call center and contact management services provided by Contactual’s technologies since 2007, and we have seen strong, escalating demand for these services from our larger customers. Contactual’s call center technology was previously the only component of 8x8’s communications services that was not developed nor owned by 8x8. By bringing the Contactual technology into 8x8 via this acquisition, we are looking forward to more tightly integrating our service offerings, introducing new, enterprise-class features to the existing offerings, building a slimmed, low-cost call center service for our smaller business customers, and introducing the 90% of Contactual’s existing customers who do not currently utilize 8x8’s voice, video and conferencing services to our communication and data service offerings.
Contactual is based in Redwood City, California and its employee base, operations, consultants, partners and customers are now officially a part of 8x8, effective today.
