What’s New in 8x8 Work - March 2021
If 2020 was the year of remote work, what will 2021 bring us?
Remote collaboration technology became the need of the hour as companies grappled to adopt it at scale. And because of the way many companies pivoted quickly, it can also be viewed as the year of learning. At 8x8, we saw our customers engage and make the most of 8x8 Work apps, be it for calls, video meetings, or team messaging.
As the year progressed, we accelerated the introduction of new features to make it easier to work from anywhere. And as we look towards the rest of 2021, here are the key highlights of our desktop and mobile app releases that will be made available in March.
What’s New:
- Threaded messages allow you to respond to specific messages, making it easier to follow conversations and giving you the flexibility to respond at your convenience without interrupting the current conversation.
- Personalizing voicemail greetings got a whole lot easier with the ability to do it right from the desktop app; create internal and external greetings by either recording with the microphone or uploading a file.
- Check the live audio quality of your calls with the Call Quality Indicator status and take the guesswork out of call experience (available on desktop and Android app).
- Users can now filter voicemails by ring groups or call queues that they are a part of.
- Silence incoming call notifications while you are in a meeting to ensure that your meeting audio is not interrupted.
- Call queue log in and log out buttons are now displayed, ensuring that you have a simplified experience.
- Enjoy a hands-free messaging experience with Android Auto; receive and respond to messages via voice with Google Assistant.
X Series customers will see these features roll out over the next couple of weeks. Download the latest version of 8x8 Work for Desktop and 8x8 Work for Mobile from the Amazon, iOS, or Android app stores today.
