Exsel gains gold status in 8x8 partner programme
Gold partner status gives Exsel increased sales support to drive business growth
London – February 2017 – 8x8, the leading provider of global Enterprise Communications as a Service (ECaaS), today announces Exsel as the latest reseller to join its innovative partner programme.
As a Gold partner Exsel will now receive Fast Track Funding to accelerate business growth. The company is also eligible for Marketing Development Funds to boost its marketing operations.
The benefits of becoming a Gold partner build on the existing advantages offered by the 8x8 Partner Programme, such as the 8x8 Academy and partner support. The Academy is a highly valued two day accreditation programme that ensures partners have the best tools to understand and sell 8x8’s portfolio of cloud products.
Exsel is 8x8’s only Scottish Gold partner and the strategic partnership broadens 8x8’s footprint in this region, giving Scottish businesses access to its market leading technology.
The partnership with 8x8 comes at an exciting time for Exsel which is rapidly growing in Scotland. The company recently announced investment worth half a million pounds to grow the business further, the creation of 50 new jobs and further expansion with new offices in Edinburgh and Ireland, in addition to its existing offices in Glasgow and Aberdeen.
Prior to working with 8x8, Exsel was selling less than 50 hosted seats a month, this has more than doubled in 6 months with a steady increase in ARPU. After just one year of partnering with 8x8, Exsel has gained more than 100 new customers, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. This partnership will help Exsel towards its goal to grow revenue 30% year-on-year, providing 4,000 seats a year.
The 8x8 products that Exsel will be reselling include Virtual Office, Virtual Contact Centre and EasyContactNow. A key benefit of using 8x8’s software is that it was born in the cloud and end users can use any device without the need for third party add-ons. This is particularly important as the growth of remote and flexible working means that most users expect to use the software on their phone.
Tom McDonald, Exsel Group Managing Director, commented: “We’re delighted to be working with 8x8, particularly as its only Scottish Gold partner. The technology is the best we’ve seen in the industry and the support we’ve received from the team at 8x8 is invaluable, enabling us to attract high profile customers. We’ve seen some strong results working with 8x8 since 2015 and we’re confident this latest step in our relationship will yield even greater rewards.”
Charles Aylwin director of channel and public sector at 8x8, says: “Working with fast growing and motivated partners like Exsel is key to our strategy for growth. We look forward to working together to grow our businesses & supporting our mutual customers in Scotland and further afield.”
