Download and install the application on your Microsoft Windows computer. Please work with your 8x8 support representative to review and interpret results. This test does not calculate the number of 8x8 phones your network can support or measure your effective Internet speed. The 8x8 Network Monitoring Tool helps you measure your network performance over time, relative to 8x8 Virtual Office telephone service. You download and install the application on your Microsoft Windows computer. This tool is only for use by 8x8 customers. You will need to call 8x8 support and obtain a license key to activate the Network Monitoring Tool. Please consult your 8x8 support representative to review and interpret results.

IP Phones

To Upgrade New Firmware to your IP Phone:

  1. Press “Options” Key on the phone and then scroll down to Option 6 “Restart Phone.”
  2. Then press “Select.”
  3. Press “Restart” to restart your IP Phone
  4. During the restart process your IP Phone will search for new firmware.
  5. If new firmware is found for your IP Phone it will start downloading.
  6. Please Note: “DO NOT UNPLUG IP PHONE WHEN FIRMWARE IS DOWNLOADING
  7. Once the download is complete your IP Phone will reboot itself.

Known Issues:

  • Star commands will not work for IP Phone at this time.
  • Shared Line Extension voicemail will not show IP Phone MWI (Message Waiting Indicator).
  • Salesforce and Outlook IP Phone status issue. Outbound Calls Only.
  • Changes made locally on the phone will not sync with server side.

Base Configuration Files Latest upgrade 07/13/2011 These Configuration Files are for the HDX Installer to use during the initial HDX installation process. These are to be used in conjunction with a concurrent or subsequent 8x8 Service Department appointment and where needed, with an HDX installer appointment where a customer does not have IT resources. These are not for end-user customer self service use. They are not recommended for overwriting a working HDX configuration as they provide only a partial configuration. When used, an appointment with 8x8 Service Department may be required in order to bind the individual HDX device to an individual 8x8 Service account. Additional manual configuration may also be required to complete the HDX configuration, where default settings may need to be adjusted further to match the customer’s network and bandwidth characteristics. Note to HDX Installer: Please refer to the Polycom HDX Configuration Guide for further instructions To save these files right-click the appropriate Download button and choose “Save target as” or Save link as”
