Metered Fax Extension – Second Port Activation

Existing 8x8 business subscribers can also order Fax Extension - Second Port Activation through the 8x8 Self Service Portal. The Second Port Activation fax extension utilizes an available 2nd line port in their existing BPA430 or BPA410 adapter which lowers the activation cost.

The 8x8 Metered Fax Extension – Second Port Activation service plan includes 300 minutes of outgoing faxes plus unlimited incoming faxes. Extra domestic outgoing fax minutes are billed at 3.5 cents and International faxes are billed at 8x8 International rates.

Virtual Number

A Virtual Phone Number is a second number that when called, rings to a primary 8x8 line. Virtual Phone Numbers can be from most area codes in the US, thereby providing enormous savings to people phoning you from that selected area code. A Virtual Phone Number essentially eliminates long-distance toll charges for anyone calling within that number’s area code.

International Virtual Number

An International Virtual Number is an inbound international number that rings to a primary 8x8 line and allows people who call you from outside the US to reach you through an international number local to their area and country code. (See International Virtual Numbers list for available countries)

Toll-Free Virtual Numbers

A Toll-Free Virtual Number is an inbound number that rings to a primary 8x8 line and allows US callers to call you at no charge, regardless of your location worldwide. 8x8's toll-free service costs a fraction of what traditional telephone service providers charge. Our toll-free number plan offers you a flat monthly fee that includes a fixed number of minutes of inbound toll-free calls with a per-minute charge thereafter.  We also offer a toll-free number plan where you can have multiple toll-free numbers sharing the fixed number of minutes. All you need to do is select the desired number of minutes per month and purchase the desired number of toll-free numbers at $4.99 a month for each number.

8x8 Softalk™ Office, a PC-based softphone for use with the 8x8 Virtual Office hosted PBX phone service for business, is ideal for road warriors and telecommuters. Softalk Office gives 8x8 Virtual Office subscribers access to a full-featured Virtual Office softphone extension directly from a personal computer without the need for a separate Virtual Office telephone. An easy-to-use graphic keypad functions as the main user interface, allowing for quick access to both basic and advanced Virtual Office calling features. Additionally, Softalk Office enhances the already robust PBX feature set of the Virtual Office service by enabling videoconferencing between as many as six participants simultaneously.

Softalk Office users have access to the same corporate-class PBX calling features offered with the 8x8 Virtual Office service.
