Marketing Communications Manager
Job Description:
The Marketing Communications Manager reports directly to the Senior Marketing Communications Manager. You'll be part of the 8x8 marcom team consisting of the senior marcom manager, you, the web producer and a graphic artist. The marcom team handles all marketing communications and creative services and supports product management, advertising, demand generation, customer communications, and channel marketing by developing and designing distinctive, high-quality marketing communications including print and online collateral, data sheets, websites, landing pages, online banners, e-newsletters, customer presentations, and other company materials. We even get involved in online projects like web stores and UI projects.
Responsibilities:
- E-Marketing and Demand Creation
You'll work with the marcom team to develop and execute e-marketing projects such as the monthly customer enewsletter, promotional emails to customers and lead generation emails. This requires copywriting as well as working closely with our in-house graphic designer and web producer and our lead generation and customer marketing managers. We use Marketo to help automate the distribution of these communications so familiarity with some kind of email automation tool and basic html gives you a big head start.
- Tradeshows and Events
8x8 participates in several large tradeshows per year with a large booth as well as in a number of smaller events and shows. You'll coordinate and manage these events and the materials, marketing deliverables, budget and logistics needed to execute them. The marcom manager also researches and proposes new event opportunities.
- Literature, Documentation, Demos
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for working with the product managers and creating and producing documentation, literature and web content to support 8x8 marketing requirements. You'll work closely with the graphic designer on production and oversee the accuracy of all changes made. You'll also help create demos and videos to help our customers understand what we offer and how to get more out of it.
- Website
The marcom group is responsible for the website so your job will involve writing content for the web and working closely with the web producer.
- Provide copywriting, design ideas, and manage outside resources
The Marketing Communications Manager provides design ideas and copywriting. Although there are outside resources, much of the communication will need to be developed internally by collaborating with our web producer and graphic artist.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a marketing or leadership role in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications.
- Excellent creative and business writing skills, including a strong command of grammar and punctuation. Well-developed written presentation, organization, and editing skills. If you have fresh, concise writing skills, and the ability to take complex concepts and express them simply, we're going to love you.
- Well-documented excellent design sensibility that recognizes and promotes next-level visuals and functionality.
- Strong work ethic, excellent time management and organizational skills, and a very precise and detail-oriented mindset in all areas of marketing execution.
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and be productive in a busy environment with simultaneous output requirements across multiple marketing disciplines. Flexible and proactive with the ability to react quickly when the need arises.
- Knowledge of InDesign and some basic HTML very helpful. Experience with email automation tools such as Marketo would also be very helpful.
- Provide a strong record of marketing work that can be reviewed which demonstrates past success, writing ability, creativity, and analytical thinking.

Senior Manager - Product Management, Hosting
Job Description:
We're seeking an experienced and successful candidate to lead 8x8's hosting/computing product strategy and roadmap. This position will be responsible for the overall ownership and direction of 8x8's hosting portfolio which includes Dedicated Managed Hosting, Cloud Hosting, Enterprise Cloud, DNS, and other related services.
In this highly visible role, this position will lead a cross-functional team to drive our existing and new hosting services forward quickly. The right candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the hosting products, including leading the strategy, definition, design, and delivery of features, functionalities, and enhance 8x8's value in the business.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior management, engineering and the product management team to define and execute against a product roadmap for each product
- Drive the 18-month product roadmap for our UC offerings and build innovative solutions that lead the market and "wow" the customers; this includes potentially working with key vendors on delivering the full product package
- Gather, prioritize, write, and communicate product requirements throughout the organization to drive the development process
- Program manage the end-to-end product planning and release process in order to ensure successful product releases
- Work with the development teams to assure the product meets the requirements outlined, the market and customer needs
- Provide key product positioning and product content to customer support and sale training, marketing programs and marketing literature
- Drive pricing for the services and work with Sales and Marketing to determine promotional parameters
- Drive continuous improvements in our products; collaborate with Customer Support and Sales to evaluate key product gaps and issues to ensure our products are more relevant, better delivered, and competitively priced to stay ahead of the competition
- Employ key business metrics to support the prioritizing and definition of product/project initiatives
- Gather new ideas for products and features by reaching out to industry players, 8x8 customers, and 8x8 customer-facing personnel
- Represent 8x8 as a spokesperson on public speaking engagements or with key customers
Responsibilities:
- Minimum 5-10 years of successful product management experience, with a proven track record of defining and delivering new products to market
- Proven ability to champion products throughout the lifecycle and drive to key decisions; ability to define business value and drive to timely tradeoff decisions
- Experience in estimation of engineering efforts, implementation planning, resource planning, and identification of project/product deliverables
- Solid understanding of software development process, preferably in SaaS environment
- Previous experience in SMB market a plus
- BS/BA required, MBA or advanced degree a plus
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization
- Ability to view issues from a strategic perspective yet prioritize delivery to meet tactical goals

System Administrator - Grave Shift (Linux/Windows)
8x8 is seeking a qualified system administrator with experience in heterogeneous environments, to work our grave shift. You will assist with the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, both dedicated and virtual, and their associated hardware. Note: This is a Monday through Friday grave shift.
Skills Required:
- Systems implementation and administration experience
- 3‐5 years experience with a variety of flavors of Linux, e.g., CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian.
- 3‐5 years experience with windows server environments, e.g. Server 2008R2, Server 2003
- 1 year experience with VMware ESXi, Citrix Xen Server, and other virtualization platforms.
